Fresh from the farm

Natural delights

Ranggen is known as a “Genussregion” (a gourmet region) and has been awarded this title with good reason: the locally-grown food is characterised by its high quality and great taste. The best place to experience these culinary delights is at the local farms themselves. At the “Hofschank Gutleben” farm, both locals and guests become gourmets: the wonderful sun terrace with its panoramic views is the perfect place to enjoy these exquisite regional specialties and Tyrolean “Gemütlichkeit” (an atmosphere of comfort, charm and warmth).

The local farms will take you on a culinary journey through the region: Healthy, fresh-pressed juices show just how sweet Tyrol can be. Alternatively, enjoy a glass of cider or a schnapps alongside delicious homemade bread with “Speck” (dry-cured ham), a Tyrolean snack platter, “Hilkater” mountain cheese or some of the many other treats, such as homemade cakes.

The best from the region – with stunning views: seasonal fresh fruit & vegetables, cider and fine schnapps, as well free-range eggs, bread, milk, cheese and “Speck” (dry-cured ham) are on offer at Genussbauernhof Kuprian (the first “Genuss” gourmet farm in Tyrol), Wölfl’s farm shop and the Gutleben family farm shop.
