On the „Weg der Befreiung“ (Path of Liberation)
The "Besinnungsweg" (Path of Reflection). Pure tranquillity and nature.
There are certain moments that are just meant to be enjoyed. Times when you can simply let your mind go blank and open yourself up to the beauty of nature. The 4.5-kilometre-long “Path of Reflection” invites you to do just that: the trail includes seven stations – designed by artists from Ranggen – that are just waiting to be discovered on secluded forest paths. It revolves around biblical works and compassion, for example oversized hands that appear to catch the water from a small waterfall.
The “Path of Reflection” begins and ends at the Parish Church of St. Magnus in Ranggen (link), which is over 500 years old and home to one of the most beautiful sacristies in Tyrol. Visiting the “Auferstehungskapelle” (Chapel of the Resurrection) – also designed and built by local artists and associations – is one of the highlights of this reflective hike.
The trail is suitable for families with children.
