Forecast

Low pressure has spread over Europe; in addition to that, cold, humid air is moving into our region! As this humid air is arriving from the north, it is building up here on the north side of the Alps. The weather conditions will therefore be unstable on Saturday: We will see heavy cloud with occasional snowfall.

Tendency

The next few days will not bring any significant changes in the weather. Humid, cool air masses will keep pushing into our region from the north. Thick clouds will produce snowfall.

Family holidays on the Rangger Köpfl

Lots of tobogganing fun

Oberperfuss is a real delight for families. One of the highlights is the toboggan run on the Rangger Köpfl, which offers a safe adventure with lightning fast straights and thrilling curves. The six-kilometre run is illuminated daily and can be reached with a comfortable and modern eight-seater gondola that takes you up to Stiglreith and the start of the tobogganing fun.

Even more tobogganing delight awaits you at Restaurant Sulzstich, a short 40-minute hike away. Alternatively, continue on for another 40 minutes to the Rosskogelhütte mountain hut and take advantage of the full 10-kilometre-long run. On Tuesdays and Fridays, the run is also open for night tobogganing when you can experience the beautiful natural surroundings under the stars.

Where the best compete

The natural toboggan run in the Tiefental valley hosts numerous competitions for luge athletes. The track, which previously hosted the Toboggan World Championships, has been recently renovated and is now ready for new speed records to be set.

The toboggan run also welcomes fun and entertaining events, such as the “Stiglreither Hornschlitten- und Klumper-Rennen” toboggan races – a unique tobogganing highlight for participants and onlookers alike.
