Forecast

The area of high pressure which dominated our weather on Friday will remain stationary on Saturday. We will once again see a mixture of sunshine, occasional harmless clouds and pleasant temperatures.

Tendency

The first showers of a weather front will reach us Saturday night. Unfortunately, the front will be unusually slow to move on and this is why we will have to deal with dense cloud and further showers all Sunday and Monday. The weather will then improve again, however.

Relaxation, sport and exercise, and idyllic, pristine surroundings. A visit to Kühtai – Sellraintal guarantees all that and more. The villages and hamlets in the Sellraintal valley offer tranquillity and authentic, untouched nature. Perfect for switching off, enjoying back-country ski tours and recharging your batteries. If you head further into the valley, you can enjoy the fantastic ski resort of Kühtai located at an altitude of 2,020 metres – complete with guaranteed snow from December until the beginning of May! With over 40 kilometres of immaculately groomed ski slopes covering all levels of difficulty, it offers a haven for winter sports enthusiasts. State-of-the-art lift facilities, cosy mountain huts offering food and drink and a brilliant fun park round off the superb range of amenities. Winter sports fans looking for something out of the ordinary can try their hand at ice climbing on a frozen waterfall. And after an eventful, action-packed day on the pistes of Kühtai, a drive of just a few minutes takes you back to your accommodation in the peaceful Sellraintal valley.

High-alpine summer in Kühtai – Sellraintal

The entire valley is wonderfully peaceful throughout the summer – perfect for hikers who appreciate the natural beauty and tranquillity of the so-called ‘mountaineering villages’ and the high-alpine landscape. Thanks to the ‘Höhenleistungszentrum Kühtai’ high-altitude training centre, which offers special camps for that ‘extra edge’ in performance, the area is also ideal for seriously ambitious sports addicts. Cyclists, field athletes and endurance athletes are familiar with the competitive advantages that can be gained through high-altitude training. In addition, the area exudes a rugged, picturesque charm with its craggy mountain backdrop and vividly coloured Alpine roses. Tackle a full-day tour or embark on a multi-day hike and conquer a few summits. The ‘Sellrain Hut-to-Hut Tour’ is particularly scenic, offering stunning views of countless 3,000-metre peaks.
