Forecast

Sunday will bring hardly any change in the weather. In the morning, we will again have to deal with low stratus over the plains, but fortunately it will dissipate quickly giving way to plenty of sunshine. It will be more or less as mild as yesterday.

Tendency

On Monday, a few banks of clouds will move in at times, but the general situation will still be positive. On Tuesday, the clouds will increase from the north.

Tobogganing at the Rumer Alm

Fun for the whole family

For many people, tobogganing from the Rumer Alm mountain hut is a traditional part of winter. The toboggan run is 3,900 metres long and covers an altitude of 504 vertical metres. The perfectly-prepared run starts at the Rumer Alm, 1,243 metres above sea level, and then weaves its way back down towards the valley. The route offers fantastic views thanks to many open areas without trees, which make both the climb and the tobogganing a real panoramic experience. In addition to the toboggan run, there is also another trail that leads to the Rumer Alm.

Toboggans can be rented for free from the Rumer Alm. The toboggan run can be easily reached by car or on the “A” bus. Parking in the “Karwendel Natur Park” car park in Hoch-Rum is free of charge. Additional information is available from the Rumer Alm.

Panoramic tobogganing above the rooftops of the Inn Valley

The hike to the Rumer Alm mountain hut takes approximately one and a half hours. The easy route leads excited tobogganers through snowy forests and magical winter scenery. At the top, a hearty snack or well-deserved warm meal awaits in a friendly and social setting with great views. The run back down to the valley is almost four kilometres long and full of breathtaking surprises. Once back at the “Karwendel Natur Park”, guests can enjoy a stop at the Canisiusbrünnl guesthouse in Hoch-Rum. This unforgettable tobogganing experience is fun for tobogganing pros and families alike – just a few kilometres from the Capital of the Alps.
