Discover a new meaning to the phrase 'relaxation' in the small village of Wildermieming. With its traditional village square and houses decorated with flowers, Wildermieming will captivate and enchant you, just as it enchanted us all in the TV show "Der Bergdoktor" (The Mountain Doctor). The village was renamed "Sonnenstein" for television and the original home of the 'mountain doctor' is well worth a visit! In addition to the vast, lush fields that shape the landscape, there are plenty of walking and mountain bike trails for the more active visitor. Favoured destinations are the alpine inns, in which the hungry traveller can enjoy Tiroler Knödel (traditional dumplings) or Kaiserschmarrn (a traditional dessert) that taste just as good as in the valley. Especially popular is the 'mountain doctor' cycle trail that stretches from Telfs to the Gurgltal via Wildermieming.
