Guests can experience all this and more with the free mountain hiking programme: from June to October, every Monday to Saturday from Innsbruck and every Monday to Friday in the western holiday villages. Experienced guides take Welcome Card holders to the most impressive places and viewpoints in Innsbruck and the surrounding area. Join the search for alpine highlights and discover the most beautiful mountains around Innsbruck. Qualified mountain and hiking guides from ASI Reisen take care of your safety and well-being, while sharing their mountain expertise and many Tyrolean natural highlights that will leave you wanting more.

ASI is dog friendly – however, despite our love of dogs, we ask for your understanding that we cannot accept dogs on our walks out of consideration for fellow hikers.
As diverse as the Tyrolean mountains
Discover the breathtaking variety of this alpine paradise up close on a 3-4 hour hiking tour. Dense forests, majestic peaks and the magic of nature combined with exciting Tyrolean myths and legends make every hiking experience a true delight.
Mountaineering skills are not required but participants should be in good physical condition. The free mountain hiking programme is also suitable for seniors and children over the age of eight. Hikes take place in all weather conditions so please make sure to bring weatherproof clothing and sun cream.
Hiking highlights with qualified mountain and hiking guides
Have you already experienced a sunrise in the mountains? Feel your spirits soar as the first rays shine over the peaks and drench the mountain slopes in a golden light.
On Fridays, the mountain and hiking guides from the AlpinSchule Innsbruck (ASI) lead hikers up to a wonderful viewpoint on the Rangger Köpfl to experience the full beauty of an alpine sunrise.
How to take part in the free mountain hiking programme
A hiking bus runs from Innsbruck and the surrounding holiday villages.
Important: You’ll receive a free Welcome Card on check-in at your accommodation. This is a prerequisite for participation in the free mountain hiking programme.
The listed tours will be adjusted as required to suit participants and weather conditions. This guarantees maximum safety and ensures that all participants enjoy the trip.

Monday: Alpine forests and the Zirbenweg trail: Patscherkofel – Glungezer
Tuesday: Wild water hike: Stubai Valley
Wednesday: Summit highs and panoramic views: Sellrain Valley – Kühtai
Thursday: Tyrolean myths and fairy tales: Igls – Heiligwasser
Friday: Sunrise hike on the Rangger Köpfl (4.50 am at Congress Innsbruck - upon reservation until 4.00 pm on the previous day)
Friday: The Dolomites of North Tyrol: Axamer Lizum – Mutterer Alm
Saturday: Alpine/Urban: Hungerburg – Nordkette
Registration only required for the Sunrise hike and for groups of more than 15 people in the local tourist information office until 4.00 pm on the previous day. .
