Forecast

With more humid air coming in on Sunday, cumulus clouds will increase in the afternoon and can produce some quite heavy thunderstorms by the evening. The first half of the day will however be bright and sunny with temperatures reaching summer-like values.

Tendency

Throughout Monday morning we will still get prolonged sunny spells, but soon clouds will arrive from the west and produce thunderstorms.

On Tuesday, a ridge of high pressure will dominate our weather!

Axams village Festival: Every August

From local festival to one of the greatest events in the western holiday villages.

Music, parties, good food and great vibes - the village festival is the annual highlight in Axams, and everybody of all ages chips in to help. Axams' Village Festival was founded in 1983 by various village societies and has become extremely popular amongst both locals and guests.

Axams' village centre is the heart of the party mile, the musical and culinary focus, with a lively open-air area offering plenty of space to celebrate and relax in front of the stage. The festival lasts for a whole weekend in August, with Friday and Saturday evenings providing a party atmosphere long into the small hours. Lovers of folk music and modern folk rock also get their money's worth, as various musicians give their best and raise the temperature for visitors from far and wide.

Disco and food

And let's not forget the younger ones. Our disco area at the music pavilion ensures a wonderful time for all the party lovers under 30. A popular DJ provides a fantastic show, entertaining the young crowd with popular songs and lighting effects. As the locals say: "Here's where it's at!" If it's all too much for you, our hard-working volunteers from the village community will look after you. In addition to traditional food such as schnitzel, roast chicken, sausages and pretzels, the famous "Axamer Blattl'n" will provide a good base and plenty of energy for the party. Our local dish is a true all-year-round delicacy. Go on, try some!

Sunday is the final day. The festival starts in the morning with a colourful entertainment programme. The alcohol flows early, accompanied by live radio broadcasts and music from Axams' village band. Into the afternoon, our programme is filled with local musicians and the day's highlight - the prize draw.

Children's Sunday programme

On Sundays, the music pavilion turns into a colourful playground for our youngest guests, with plenty to keep them occupied. Included are an agility obstacle course, play areas, face-painting areas, a petting zoo, bouncy castle, shooting galleries and candy floss. The three-day event closes at midnight with plenty of music and a great atmosphere.
