Forecast

A low pressure area over France is sending relatively mild air from the Atlantic to the Alpine region. This air is so humid that clearer spells will be rare, and most likely to occur in the late morning. It will not be humid enough, however, to produce any significant precipitation.

Tendency

Humid, warm air masses from the Atlantic will get stuck over the Alps on Sunday and on Monday. The weather will therefore be dull.

Tyrolean evening from 1900

Tradition at its best

The weekly “Tyrolean evenings from 1900” at the Postkutscherhof in Axams (link) see farmers parade through the fields on historical horse-drawn carriages, accompanied by cows, oxen and magnificent fowl. The place is filled with colourful traditional dress, exuberant Tyrolean music and wondrous dancing – making it a fun open-air event for the whole family.

A vibrant celebration of culture

Visitors can get together and watch the amazing spectacle unfold from the rustic wooden veranda, which is also protected against the weather. Every week from June to October, Fritz Ehrensperger and his team present the tough yet fulfilling work that our Tyrolean ancestors carried out in the fields. They create a vibrant backdrop with lots of dancing and whip cracking; goats are milked by hand and historical tools are on display. The traditional dress, music and dancing breathe colourful new life into those times of old. A highlight in Axams for visitors both young and old – the Tyrolean evenings from 1900.
