Forecast

Mild air masses keep pushing in, at times they are humid, at other times they are dry. Today, dry air is influencing our weather with variable amounts of cloud but also clear spells and no precipitation.

Tendency

On Sunday a ridge of high pressure will build: it will be small but strong and will bring us a wonderful summer day. Unfortunately, this high will be only short-lived and the next disturbances will arrive here on Monday.

Opening Hours

open all year round

About 4,000 years ago, the Goldbichl - an elevation between the villages of Igls, Patsch and Lans - was a powerful sanctuary. Today it has an archaeology trail that takes you on an exciting journey into the past. On the way to the prehistoric Brandopferplatz (ritual place for burning offerings), you will find illustrated information boards that reveal more about the period from around 2,000 BC to 15 BC.

Bronze and Iron Age artefacts and a model of the "Goldbichl" sanctuary can be seen in the "Haus des Gastes" in the Igls tourist office.
