What's more, the Perspectives Trail is a gentle, relaxing path where you can keep stopping to enjoy the breathtaking scenery. The unique Alpine Zoo is also worth a visit, with its wide collection of local wildlife including lynx, bear, ibex, otter and lots more.
- When Innsbruck's church bells ring out and, not to be outdone, the wolves in the Alpine Zoo start howling, this is something really worth hearing
- The Hafelekar is the start of the Hafelekarrinne, one of the steepest ski routes in Europe
- In summer Qigong is on offer several times a week in the Imperial Gardens - free of charge, simply join in (from 6:30am)!
- Scenes for a part of the famous "Sisi" movies were filmed on the Hafelekar in 1955, as well as for the film "The Vulture Wally", German title: Die Geierwally. (You can visit the Geierwally hut which is just a few metres from the Hafelekar mountain station and, 50 years after the event, visit the original location of the legendary film!)
