For all those who are looking for deceleration in nature and are good at skiing, a ski tour is just the thing. On this page we present some tour suggestions. As with all alpine activities, the same applies here: The athlete:s must check the conditions and risks themselves before each tour, carry adequate avalanche equipment and follow the information provided by theTyrol Avalanche Warning Service . Hoher Seblaskogel

The popular ski tour summit, Hoher Seeblaskogel (3235 m), located in the Westfalenhaus area, is a challenging ascent suitable for experienced ski tourers. The tour begins in Lüsens and takes about five and a half hours to reach the summit, where breathtaking panoramic views await. The Westfalenhaus, open from mid-February to the end of April, also offers a winter room for extra comfort. After the tour, a visit to the Alpengasthof Lüsens is highly recommended to enjoy a rewarding meal and relax.

Starting point is the Potsdamer Hütte, which is perfect for anyone seeking a rewarding ski tour. With 4.2 kilometers and 730 meters of elevation gain, the tour presents a moderate challenge and rewards you with fantastic panoramas and unforgettable views. After the tour, the cozy Potsdamer Hütte invites you to relax and enjoy the experience with a warm meal and drink in a comfortable atmosphere.

Juifenalm - Skitour

This leisurely ski tour starts near the Juifenalm car park and follows the popular toboggan run in the Sellraintal valley. It is perfect for ski tour beginners or as a safe alternative in difficult conditions. The ascent runs through the forest on the prepared track - safe from avalanches and with a pleasant gradient. The descent is easy along the same route. The tour ends at the serviced Juifenalm, which offers Tyrolean cuisine and a sunny terrace for refreshments - ideal for a relaxing day of ski touring.

Kraspesspitze

The ski tour to Kraspesspitze (2,954 m) starts at the DreiSeenBahn parking lot and initially leads to the picturesque Finstertal reservoir. From there, it continues via the Finstertaler Scharte before the final, challenging ascent to the summit. With 1,180 meters of elevation gain and nearly 8 kilometers in length, this tour presents a real challenge and requires good physical condition. The descent can either follow the ascent route or alternatively head down to Haggen, providing a varied and scenic return.

Lampsenspitze

The must-have in the Kühtai-Sellraintal region: the most popular ski tour in the region, including an educational ski touring trail. First in the forest or on the toboggan run up to the tree line. Above, extensive, good ski terrain with countless variations. The educational ski touring trail on the Lampsenspitze is ideal for beginners as it provides an informative introduction to ski touring. Beginners can gain their first experience in open terrain here, while advanced skiers can hone their skills. Five information boards along the route provide important information on avalanche safety, equipment and route selection. These stations invite you to pause along the way, reflect on what you have learned and exchange ideas with your tour partners.  

Längentaler Weißer Kogel

This physically demanding but technically easy high-altitude ski tour is one of the most popular in the Westfalenhaus area, which is open from mid-February to the end of April and offers a winter room. The starting point is Lüsens, from where the route initially heads south to the materials cable car. There you branch off to the right and climb steeply through a wooded area to the Längentaleralm (1988 m). The flat valley floor is followed by an ascent to the steep step at the turn-off to the Hoher Seeblaskogel. Cross glacier moraines and hollows to reach the basin between Bachfallenkopf and Hinterer Brunnenkogel. At around 2900 metres, a wide right-hand bend leads westwards before the steep final ascent to the ski depot begins. The last few metres to the summit are mostly covered on foot. Despite some flat sections, the tour offers rewarding descents and an impressive high alpine backdrop.
