The Kemater Alm is a popular mountain restaurant located 1,660 metres above sea level. The trail to the hut leads from the village of Grinzens, past the Sportcafé and into the Senders Valley. The route takes one hour by mountain bike and approx. half an hour longer on foot. Once at the top, visitors enjoy stunning views of the Kalkkögel mountain range, the "Dolomites of the North".
Cuisine at the Kemater Alm
The Kemater Alm serves specialities from its own Mangalitsa pigs, as well as a selection of dumplings and varying international dishes.
Please note: you have to pay a toll to drive up the road to the Kemater Alm.
