Forecast

The weather is barely changing at the moment. An area of low pressure lies over Central Europe and is heading slowly east. There will be sunny spells in the morning, and then the cloud will thicken and cause thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

Tendency

During the following days, we should lower our expectations of the weather! The general weather situation will not change and even more humid air masses will move into Central Europe.

A pleasantly scenic tour for lovers of tributary valleys. This tour to Meissnerhaus starts in the sleepy village of Ellbögen and runs south of Patscherkofel, Innsbruck's favourite mountain, to the quiet and picturesque Viggartal. From the Zirbenhof on Oberstraße in Ellbögen, the route first quickly rises via two hairpins, before levelling out a little at the northern edge of Mühltaler Berg in Viggartal through the forest to the beautifully-located Meissner Haus alpine hut. For bike & hike lovers, we recommend some refreshment at Meissner Haus, followed by climbing the Patscherkofel on foot towards Glungezer (alpine hut at the top, serviced and with accommodation), Morgenkogel or Kreuzspitze.
