Forecast

Forecasters do not very much like their job when it comes to forecasting the influences low pressure together with humid air has on our weather! An area of low pressure has built over the Mediterranean Sea and on Tuesday, it will influence our weather too: We will see mostly heavy cloud and areas of precipitation that will pass over our region.

Tendency

For Wednesday no significant changes are expected. On Thursday, precipitation will almost cease with even some clearer spells in the afternoon. For Friday, we will get calm and sunny autumn weather.

You can get to the start of the hike by taking the Patscherkofelbahn lift up to an altitude of 1,965 metres above sea level. From there, the Zirbenweg trail follows a wide mountain path past the rather remote Boscheben mountain hut. The path is gently undulating and follows the tree line at over 2,000 metres above sea level without any significant changes in altitude. The route takes you through centuries-old stone pine forests and has breathtaking backdrops and stunning views of the Inn Valley every step of the way. On the other side Innsbruck, the impressive Nordkette mountain range rises up and marks the start of the Karwendel mountains.
After approximately one kilometer you follow the signs to Issboden and descend to the Sistranser Alm and Lanser Alm (mountain pastures) and finally you reach the end point at Patscherkofelbahn top station.
