On Tuesday, the summer 2019 pulls out once again all the stops to offer us great summer weather:

It will be bright and occasional thunderstorms in the afternoon and the evening, but these are, after all, a part of classic summer weather.

During the next few days it will stay hot, but with the air becoming quite sultry at times, occasional thunderstorms may occur, especially in the afternoon and evening.

From Innsbruck (main train station) by bus or tram to Igls (Patscherkofelbahn lift) and then up to the mountain lift station on the Patscherkofelbahn cable car. Follow the signs for the "Zirbenweg" (no. 350). The Zirbenweg trail starts above the "Schutzhaus Patscherkofel" mountain refuge and leads east. This is also the start of the Alpine Club's "Patscherkofel Nature Trail". The route gently climbs to the Boscheben mountain hut.
From Boscheben, the route continues in the same direction to the Tulfeinalm mountain hut and then up to the Halsmarter lift.

From there, you can take the lift down to Tulfes, the bus to Igls and then the bus or tram from Igls back to Innsbruck.

It is also possible to walk back to the bottom station of the Patscherkofelbahn lift: follow the Speckbacherweg path that leads from the bottom of the Glungezerbahn lift and goes via Rinn and Sistrans to Igls (walking time approx. 3 hours).

You can also walk back to the main train station in Innsbruck from the bottom lift station at Patscherkofel/Igls: from Igls to Vill, through the forest to Poltenhütt, Tantegert tram stop, turn off towards Bretterkeller, cross the motorway bridge, continue approx. 200 metres west to Gasthof Bierstindl – Wilten Abbey – Leopoldstraße road – turn right through the Olympiabrücke pedestrian underpass – Südbahnstraße road to the train station (walking time approx. 1 ½ hours).
