Forecast

The weather is barely changing at the moment. An area of low pressure lies over Central Europe and is heading slowly east. There will be sunny spells in the morning, and then the cloud will thicken and cause thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

Tendency

During the following days, we should lower our expectations of the weather! The general weather situation will not change and even more humid air masses will move into Central Europe.

Take the Patscherkofel cable car in Igls up to the summit station. Beginning near the Schutzhaus refuge, the Zirbenweg trail runs in an easterly direction to Boscheben, featuring virtually terrain and ancient stone pine forests. Walk along for about 25 minutes until the turn-off to your right towards the Viggarspitze summit where you are rewarded with fabulous views of Innsbruck, the Inn Valley and the Nordkette mountain range just opposite. From here you can also hike up to the Glungezer summit. Return: either backtrack the route or take the summit trail at Boscheben to return to Patscherkofel. Or take the Jochleitensteig trail, hike around the Patscherkofel summit and descend to the cable car summit station.
