Constant ups and downs in a wonderful landscape and with a great view over the city - an ideal training route without asphalt sections.
From Planötzenhof on beautiful forest paths up to a forest path, which you follow westwards without any significant differences in altitude until you meet the Stangensteig. A trail in a class of its own leads almost to just before the Kerschbuchhof, where the route changes direction and heads east on forest paths via Buzihütte and Grünem Boden back to the starting point.
Suitable all year round in mild winters, but the trail is especially great in spring and autumn.
A medium-length circular trail on the eastern side of the Hungerburg district that takes you in the footsteps of the legendary "Tatzlwurm".
The route starts at Hungerburg and initially leads east along a flat road. After about 700 metres, the route turns onto the Kollnerweg and Knappensteig forest trails that lead down to Mühlau and then continues along the Rechnhofweg and the Purnhofweg to a wonderful road across lovely flat alpine meadows. Continue west along the edge of the forest and cross the Mühlau Gorge, which legend has it is home to the mysterious "Tatzlwurm", and then join the Rosnerweg trail back to the starting point.
The trail run starts at Hostel Marmota in the south of Innsbruck and follows a moderate 6.4 km route. The first ascent rewards you with stunning views of Innsbruck city and a 180° panorama of the Nordkette. A total of 300 meters of elevation gain and loss are covered. At the halfway point, you reach "Bretterkeller," where you can choose to take the bus back. Otherwise, the return route follows the same trail back to the starting point.
A sunny circuit for beginners that crosses the Igler Wiesen meadows and passes the village centre of Vill.
The starting point of the loop is at the former valley station of the Patscherkofel cable car. The route immediately descends along a service road parallel to Bilgeristrasse. Pass the Sporthotel and run straight on into Eichlerstraße and after about 100m at the Kneipp facility turn east into Obexerstraße (always on asphalt). You pass the Igls railway station and after the last residential buildings turn left into the Bachgangweg (gravel) into the open field. This is the easternmost point of the trail. Continue slightly downhill and after a 90° bend always follow the same path straight ahead in a westerly direction to the Turmbichl inn and the Igler Straße (asphalt). Cross this road and turn left into Viller Dorfstraße. Continue along Handlhofweg for a short distance and turn left at the first opportunity. Heading south, you reach the junction with Brunnenweg on the left (gravel). Follow Brunnenweg in an easterly direction to its end (meadow path & asphalt), then turn 90° left into Fernkreuzweg (from here to the end asphalt), follow Fernkreuzweg to Igler Straße. Cross it and continue straight ahead through Habichtstraße. After approx. 200m, turn right into Serlesweg, which after a 90° left-hand bend leads back into Eichlerstraße. Turn right there and continue straight on past the Kneipp facility and Sporthotel back to the "Alte Talstation".
The perfect after-work training session! A circular route through the Ullwald forest on soft forest floors and beautiful trails.
The start of the loop is directly at the bus stop "Igls Alte Talstation" of line "J". Head west along a forest path to the "Kurpark" park, which you cross on a narrow asphalt road (not used). On the opposite side of the Patscher Straße, follow the Gletscherblick Weg (asphalt) for a short distance and you will immediately reach a fork in the forest on the left. Continue along the forest path around the "Taxburg" estate, where you then meet the Patscher Straße again in an easterly direction, cross it and continue along the forest path through the "Hoferboden" to the Heiligwasser Weg. Continue straight ahead in an easterly direction, past the football pitch, cross Badhausstraße into the Ullwald forest and turn left in a northerly direction after the riding stable. At the end of the Ullwald forest, you reach Badhausstraße again in a westerly direction. After crossing it, turn left and follow the forest path to Heiligwasser Weg, where you turn right and return to the starting point "Alte Talstation" on asphalt.
Start at the Bretterkeller restaurant and end at Lanser-Kopf peak! A direct route up from the city of Innsbruck along soft single tracks to Lanser Kopf peak.
A short run around Lanser See lake and Villerkopf peak with a few short and beautiful trail sections.
This route has the same starting point as the Lanser Kopf Loop, at the Seeweg/Bachgangweg junction in the "Viller Moor" in Vill.
After a short ascent in a northerly direction, turn sharp right after approx. 200m. On the south side of the Viller Kopf hill, the trail continues in an easterly direction past the Lanser See lake and the Seerosenweiher pond until you reach a 4-way junction (trail/forest path). Turn left here in a northerly direction and after approx. 500m continue again in a westerly direction. After a 90° bend on the left, head south past the Grillhof seminar centre back to the starting point (forest path).
A beautiful but long and challenging route that takes you away from the main hiking paths and requires surefootedness. Some sections are on alpine trails.
This route starts in the Hungerburg district and initially follows the same route as the City Forest Walk, past Gramartboden and along Kollnerweg trail to the Höttinger Bild chapel. From there, you start a long climb up a forest road that leads back through the Höttinger Graben to the former Umbrüggler Alm mountain hut. The route then continues along wonderful forest trails to Titschenbrunnen and the Arzler Alm mountain hut before following the Winterweg trail directly south and around a wide loop to the west. The trails in this section are quiet and more secluded. The last part of the route leads down ski piste no. 3 back to the Hungerburg district.
