They lead over rocky terrain with climbing aids such as iron ladders or steel cables to hold on to. They often open up rough terrain while providing wonderful views of the mountains. Adler Via Ferrata (Karkopf)
The Adlerklettersteig runs in the area of the Karkopf east ridge and partly in the south flank of the Karkopf and leads up to the summit plateau of Karkopf 2469 m. A beautiful, varied and long ascent, where difficult and airy climbing sections in best Wetterstein limestone alternate with easy ridge passages. In difficult places there are additional hooks to secure descendants with a rope. Refreshment and Overnight accommodation is available at the Neue Alplhütte, www.alplhuette.com.
