Tobogganing at Bergbahnen Oberperfuss

easy
8.5 KM
2.8 H
The toboggan run at Rangger Köpfl is ten kilometres long and this makes it one of the longest toboggan runs in the Innsbruck region. It is made up of three sections. The majority of the run can be accessed in comfort on the gondola: to the middle station for Stiglreith or further up to Sulzstich. Only the upper two kilometres of the run are not accessible by lift so you have to walk up if you want to do this section. The toboggan run is illuminated two evenings a week from Sulzstich. If you want an even longer run, you can walk up to the rustic Rosskogelhütte mountain hut from Sulzstich in 30 minutes. This upper section is not lit but it takes the tobogganing fun up to an impressive ten kilometres. Night tobogganing every Tuesday and Friday snow conditions permitting, gondola open from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm (Gondola II only until 9 pm), toboggan run lit until midnight.  Sections of the toboggan run: Stiglreith – bottom lift station: access via the 8-seater Gondola I from the bottom lift station to Stiglreith. From there, you can either toboggan six kilometres down into the valley or take Gondola II to Sulzstich. Sulzstich – Stiglreith: Gondola II takes you an additional two kilometres up the mountain for a total of eight kilometres of tobogganing fun back down into the valley. Rosskogelhütte – Sulzstich: The last section from Restaurant Sulzstich to the rustic Rosskogelhütte mountain hut can only be accessed on foot. The walk from the top of Gondola II takes 30 minutes. This section is not lit and we only recommend doing it if equipped with a head torch. From this point, you can enjoy ten kilometres of tobogganing fun all the way down into the valley.  Gondola: open daily from 9 am – 4.30 pm
