Bergdoktor-Winter Hiking Trail

This lovely short winter walk starts at the village hall car park in Wildermieming, which is located opposite the listed parish church "Pfarrkirche St. Nikolaus". The walk is suitable for people of all ages. Start by walking a few metres east and then turn right onto the paved Straßbergweg road. Follow the road until you come to a sign that points right towards the "Bergdoktorhaus", a building made famous by the TV series "Der Bergdoktor". Even though the series has since moved on, many visitors still come to visit the place where the series was once filmed. From the terrace in front of the house, you have beautiful views of Wildermieming and the Stubai Alps.  To complete the circular walk, first continue north along Straßbergweg road. Then take the second right onto the Sonnenplateau-Rundwanderweg trail and follow it until you come to Lettenkapelle chapel. From there, take Mühlgasse road into the village and back to the starting point.

Gries Winter Hike

From the Murmel adventure playground in Gries you bear right uphill along the Zirmbach stream towards the Kneipp centre. From here you follow the main road to the bridge by a riding school. On the other side of the stream you return to the village on a forest trail.

Praxmar - Lüsens winter hike

Starting point is the parking lot in Praxmar. At the end of the parking lot, the trail leads next to the cross-country ski trail through a beautiful pine forest to Lüsens. From there either return or continue to Fernerboden, see winter hike Lüsens - Fernerboden page 51. The described winter hiking trail will still be used by cross-country skiers and winter hikers together in the 2021/22 season. As a hiker, please make sure to leave the cross-country ski trail as undisturbed as possible. An expansion of the trail is being planned so that in the future all winter sports enthusiasts will have as much space as possible for their favorite hobby.

Winter Hike St. Sigmund - Haggen Circuit

From the car park in St. Sigmund you hike along the toboggan run in the direction of Gleirschalm and after about 200 metres you turn right onto the signposted winter hiking trail to Haggen where you turn right at the Schärmeralm. You walk through Haggen and cross the main road from where you walk on the sunny side of the valley and come to the Krainhof and continue on the prepared trail to Alt-Peida. After the cattle grid you cross the road and then the bridge. On the other side of the valley, you head back into the valley until you reach the toboggan run to the Gleirschalm. From there you follow the toboggan run downhill for a few minutes and return to your starting point.

Winter Pasture Hiking Trail

This varied circular hike links the Stöttlalm mountain hut located above Golfpark Mieming with the Moosalm restaurant and guesthouse in Barwies. The gently climbing winter hiking trail leads from Lehnbach car park in Obermieming to the Stöttlalm mountain hut, where you can stop for short break. On sunny winter days, you can even enjoy the stunning panoramic views of the plateau and the Stubai Alps from the terrace.  From there, follow the winter hiking trail left, cross the Lehnbach stream and follow the forest road over the new Stöttlalmbrücke bridge towards the Moosalm mountain hut. After a long stretch through the forest, which also passes a children's playground, you reach the vast open landscapes of the Mooswiesen meadows. A groomed trail leads through the snow-covered meadows and past old barns before reaching the next place for a break, the Moosalm restaurant and guesthouse. As you walk, you can watch the cross-country skiers glide over the extensive network of cross-country ski trails.  The route back follows the same path through the forest to Obermieming. After leaving the woods, follow the forest road to the right towards Siedlung and back to the car park.

Arzkasten winter hike

This leisurely winter hike starts at the hikers' car park by Gasthaus Arzkasten, an alpine guesthouse and restaurant. Walk past the guesthouse, turn right towards the Lehnberghaus and then turn left shortly afterwards to follow the "Sonnenplateau Rundwanderweg" trail. Children will enjoy a short break at the Weisland playground along the way.  The trail soon brings you to a few houses in the Weisland district. From there, cross the winter hiking trail leaving the cross-country ski trail on your right and then follow the groomed trail south. If you would like a short break, you can take a quick detour to the Kinderhotel Lärchenhof family hotel for a drink or a bite to eat. Otherwise, take the next left onto another winter hiking trail, cross the forest road and then turn left to return to the car park. It is well worth rounding off your hike with a break on the sun terrace at Gasthaus Arzkasten.

Genuss Route Winter Hiking Trail Mieming Plateau

"Enjoy with all your senses" is the motto for this special winter hike. In addition to the clear, fresh air and the soothing winter sun, eleven farm-gate vendors are waiting to be discovered. A perfect opportunity to take a piece of Tyrol home with you or your loved ones. From the Raiffeisenbank car park in Mieming, head east and turn left at Gasthof Post and follow the asphalt road towards Wildermieming. At the St. Josef chapel, it is worth taking a short detour to the left up to Steirer's Hofladele before returning to the trail to Wildermieming. Always following the signs, you reach the idyllically situated village. Here you have the opportunity to visit another six direct marketers.  The Genuss Route then leads out of the village to the Aussiedlerhöfe in Unterfeld to the next shopping opportunities at Zauscherhof and Hansl's Hofladen. From there, continue downhill on the cleared path in a southerly direction until you reach the main road. After crossing it, walk slightly uphill through the Fiechter Tal valley to the hamlet of Fiecht with the next farm shop. Then return to the crossroads and continue downhill to Untermieming with the next three shops. Follow the uphill village road and you will soon return to the starting point.

This winter walk starts at the tourist information centre in Igls and leads along Bilgeristraße road towards the former lift station for the old Patscherkofelbahn cable car. After 10 m, turn right onto the small Hohlweg road and then continue along Eugenpromenade road. Follow the route right through the Kurpark spa gardens. Cross Patscher Straße road and turn onto Gletscherblickweg road through the sprawling fields towards the village of Patsch. When you come to the recycling centre on your right, take a sharp right onto Fernkreuzweg road and follow it back to Igls. Pass the kindergarten and then continue along the main road back to the centre of Igls.

Lans Golf Course winter hike

This winter walk starts at the tourist information centre in Igls and leads east to the Sporthotel. Turn left before the hotel and continue to the Kneipp facility where you turn right towards Lans. Follow the path to the tram stop on tram line 6 and then walk along the tram lines past the stops "Lanser See" and "Lans-Sistrans". Continue past the chapel and the golf course to the charming Vogelhütte cafe. Our tip: If you turn left at "Lanser See" tram stop and follow the path downhill for about five minutes, you will come to Lanser See lake and the Koi Bar.

Sonnenrainweg winter hiking trail in Oberperfuss

An idyllic and sunny winter hiking route with stunning views! The hike starts from the lift car park at Bergbahnen Oberperfuss, which is free of charge for anyone using the lift. Take the gondola up to the Stiglreith lift station at an altitude of 1,363 m, where you will set off on your hike. Follow the path past the ski hire shop and onto the Panoramastraße road, which you should then follow downhill for approx. 50 metres until you reach the first bend. From there, take the signposted path on your right, which is an idyllic trail leading slightly uphill through the forest. Along the way, you will frequently be treated to wonderful views across the valley and of the surrounding mountain landscapes. There are also plenty of benches where you can stop for a relaxing break. After walking for approx. 45 minutes, the path ends at an altitude of 1,450 metres above sea level. You can then turn around and follow the same winter trail back to the starting point, yet again enjoying the stunning views and glorious peace and quiet along the way.

Winter hiking trail Speichersee-Gfas

The hike starts at the Bergbahnen Oberperfuss lift station. First take the gondola up to Stiglreith, which is located at an altitude of 1,363 metres above sea level. From there, the route passes the car park and continues along a road with stunning mountain views. Keep following the yellow signs to the district of Gfas at 1,517 metres above sea level.  The hike follows the same route back to the starting point. A short detour is possible to visit a beautifully situated reservoir and Restaurant Sulzstich. The road from Oberperfuss Berg to Stiglreith is closed to unauthorised vehicles during the winter months from 1 November until 30 March. Highlight: Gfas is the highest district of Oberperfuss and home to two farmhouses, a beautiful chapel and stunning views of the Inn Valley and the surrounding mountains.

Ullwald winter hike

This winter walk leads from the tourist information centre in Igls towards the Sporthotel. Turn left before the hotel and keep walking until you come to the Kneipp facility where you turn right onto Obexerstraße road. Follow the road to the former Hotel Tirolerhof and then turn right again towards Lanser Strasse road. Cross the road and then turn right at the former Hotel Batzenhäusl into the forest. Follow the path that leads along the fence through the romantic wilderness of the Ullwald forest. When you come to the end of the trees, turn right towards Appartement Waldhaus and continue along Badhausstraße road to the former lift station of the old Patscherkofelbahn cable car. Finally, cross the road and turn left to follow Eugenpromenade road back to the village centre.
