Route to start
Starting at the Barwies open-air pool's car park, it's a short walk to the south towards the first fork in the path. Turn right after Freundsheim. After passing the first two ponds, take the next left and follow the route towards Fronhausen and Larchetweg, which then continues on through the forest to Gschwent. From here, it's across golden meadows and along a winding path back to the starting point in Barwies.
Arrival, public transport
You can get to the starting point via the Inn Valley. From Telfs or Mötz, drive up to the Mieming Plateau and continue to the village of Mieming. From there, follow the signs to the "Waldschwimmbad" forest pool. At the pool, there is a free car park where you can leave your car. Bus 350 or 355 - stop "Barwies Kirche" (an approx. 15-minute walk from the starting point at the Waldschwimmbad car park) www.vvt.at
