Cómo llegar
La subida a la cumbre Hohe Munde empieza en el aparcamiento Strassberg, donde un camino forestal lleva al edificio Strassberghaus. Justo antes del edificio, tomar el camino a mano derecha y seguir el sendero Hintereggensteig. Subir por este camino empinado hasta la próxima bifurcación. Girar a la derecha y subir por un espeso bosque de pino negro hasta Niedere Munde (2.059 m).
Continuar dirección oeste por dos colinas cubiertas de pinos silvestres y una cresta alargada dirección a la cumbre. Seguir por el valle Rauhes Tal, donde se encuentran algunos tramos de escalada asegurados con cables de alambre (importante no tener vértigo) antes de llegar a la cumbre y a la cruz de la cumbre, situada en la punta occidental de la cima (2.662 m). Desde la cumbre oeste, descender por el camino marcado por un terreno escalonado dirección este. Después de un corto ascenso en el lado opuesto de la montaña, un altiplano llano lleva a la cima oriental (2.059 m). Descenso pronunciado por el flanco oriental de la montaña hasta el refugio Rauthhütte.
Descenso del refugio al valle por un sendero a través de un atractivo bosque hasta llegar al aparcamiento Buchner Höhe o por el camino forestal al aparcamiento Rauthhütte/Mundestadl.
Recomendaciones | Comentarios: ruta de alta montaña, importante llevar suficiente bebida (no hay puntos de agua en el camino), paso seguro y no padecer vértigo. Se recomienda hacer la ruta con un guía de montaña experto.
Antes de iniciar la ruta, dejar un segundo coche en el aparcamiento Buchner Höhe o Rauthütte/Mundesstadl, para regresar al punto de salida en el aparcamiento Strassberghaus al final de la ruta.
