La ruta empieza frente a la oficina de turismo de Kühtai, detrás del edificio Wiesberghaus, y asciende suavemente dirección este hasta el lago Hirschebensee (2.164 m). A partir de aquí, el camino hasta el lago Mittlerer Plenderlessee (2.317 m) es algo más empinado. Después la ruta lleva por debajo del telesilla y continua hasta el refugio Drei-Seen-Hütte antes de llegar al valle Speicher Finstertal. Regreso al punto de salida por el valle Finstsertal.
