The well-known but not really popular Icelandic low has left its place out on the Atlantic and is now situated over Western Europe. Such a strong low so close to the Alps means quite unsettled weather for our region, too. We will see a changing cloud cover with occasional showers.
The area of low pressure is moving on very slowly and will not leave us until Friday. Until then, the weather will remain chilly and unstable. Later on, we will see an improvement.
Start from the village square in Kematen. Head south on the Hintere Gasse - Griesgasse to the fountain at the crossing Axams - Sellrain until you reach a barrier.On the left a steep way leads with a barrier up. In the steep path farther you get on a meadowa way. Then you reach the border of the plateau. Then at the courts of Zifres you get after Omes. by Omes farther in direction of Wollbell, from where a drive on the Kristenklamm leads. Then you come again back after Kematen.
Walking time: 3 hours, 2 more steep sections, otherwise easily
