Der Start wird in westlicher Richtung zur Karwendelbrücke verlassen. Über diese quert man den Inn, biegt hier nach links ab und dann immer geradeaus. Es werden die Freiburger- und Universitätsbrücke unterquert, die Innbrücke, bei der historischen Herzog-Otto-Burg, wird links liegen gelassen. Über den Emile-Béthouart-Steg wechselt man erneut die Innseite an der es zurück geht.
