Route naar het startpunt
De natuurlijke rodelbaan strekt zich uit over een totale lengte van tien kilometer. Om veiligheidsredenen is het onderste deel echter alleen geopend als de sneeuwcondities erg goed zijn. Als de omstandigheden goed zijn, is het mogelijk om naar Birgitz in het dal af te dalen, wat rodelaars een bijzonder lange en spannende afdaling biedt.
1e deel: Birgitzer Alm tot Adelshof
De klim naar de natuurrodelbaan begint in Axams Adelshof op 1.370 meter boven zeeniveau en leidt naar de Birgitzer Alm op 1.808 meter boven zeeniveau. De klim duurt ongeveer 2 uur. De Birgitzer Alm biedt een welkome verfrissingsstop en aangename versnaperingen tijdens de tocht. Het eerste deel van de rodelbaan is 3,2 kilometer lang en goed geprepareerd, waardoor het bijzonder geschikt is voor gezinnen. De afdaling van de Birgitzer Alm terug naar Adelshof is een genot.
2e deel: Adelshof naar Birgitz
Als de sneeuwcondities het toelaten, kan de rodelbaan worden voortgezet op het tweede deel van Adelshof naar Birgitz. Dit deel is bijna 7 kilometer lang en biedt een veel langere en afwisselende afdaling. Als je vanaf Birgitz weer omhoog wilt, moet je rekening houden met een wandeltijd van ongeveer 3 uur.
