Het verlengde van de Friedhofweg (kerkhofweg) gaat oostwaarts als landweg door het vruchtbare landschap van Thaur. Een wandeling door dit oeroude en bedrijvige kerndorp met zijn grote wijken aan de randen, is de moeite waard. Oude boerderijen omzomen de straten, een mooie kerk nodigt uit tot bezichtiging. Op een heuvel wacht bovendien het Romediuskerkje met een mooi uitzicht over het Inntal.
