De tocht begint op de parkeerplaats Arzkasten en voert over een bospad met veel haarspeldbochten naar de Marienbergalm op 1.622 meter, niet ver onder het Marienbergjoch, dat op 1.789 meter ligt. Vanaf hier heb je een prachtig uitzicht op Biberwier, Lermoos en Ehrwald.
Let op: Het pad is op sommige plekken erg ruig!
