Route naar het startpunt
De rodelbaan Brunntal is een populaire rodelmogelijkheid bij Zirl. Hier wacht een vier kilometer lange afdaling, niet zelden ook beduidend meer: namelijk wanneer de waard van Brunntal de weg richting Magdeburger hut heeft geprepareerd. Vooral het bovenste deel is mooi gelegen en voert over de Zirler bergweides. De tocht naar het dal is heel snel en relatief moeilijk. Rodelaars worden beloond met een authentieke pauzemogelijkheid bij het Jausenstation (restaurant) Brunntal.
Voor rodelen zonder gevaar moet u absoluut rekening houden met het volgende: de weg is alleen in de periode van 1 december tot en met 31 maart op zaterdagen, zondagen en feestdagen van 13.00 tot 17.00 uur gesloten voor gemotoriseerd verkeer.
Let op: in het onderste gedeelte van de rodelbaan moet u rekening houden met verkeer. Ons advies: rodel liever alleen op het bovenste deel van het traject en ga het laatste stuk te voet.
