De route start op de parkeerplaats van de Sonnbergalm tussen St. Sigmund en Haggen achter de Krainhof. De weg voert gelijkmatig langs een zonnig bos omhoog. Enkele haltes wijzen op natuurwonderen zoals de steenbokpopulaties van de Alpen en de leeftijd van de sparrenbossen. De Sonnbergalm biedt een prachtig uitzicht op de omliggende bergen en heeft uitstekende burgermanskost.
