Vanaf de parkeerplaats leidt een bospad naar het Straßberghaus. Buigt u bij het Straßberghaus rechtsaf en ga verder door mooie gemengde bossen op een weg met vele haarspeldbochten richting Niedere Munde. Na ruim een uur stijgen wordt het hoogste punt van de wandeling bereikt. Vanaf daar leidt de linker wegvertakking weer constant bergaf op het Hintereggensteig naar de populaire Neue Alplhütte.
