Van de Zirmbachalm op de AV153 tot de aftakking na ca. 30 minuten. De onderste weg voert naar het Kreuzjoch en naar de Rietzer Grieskogel. U neemt de bovenliggende weg (AV154), die eerst nog enkele honderd meters naar het noorden verder gaat, dan echter naar het zuidoosten draait. Het pad stijgt met een mooi uitzicht op de Gaißkogel langs de weidehelling licht en buigt later om de helling heen naar het oosten tot de bestemming.
