The Wild One start snel, speels en met veel bochten. Net als in een knikkerbaan vliegt men recht over de almweide. Op zijn laatst bij één van de talrijke gemakkelijke sprongen krijgt elke fietser dan het gevoel te zweven. The Wild One voert vanaf het bergstation naar het middelstation van de Nockspitzbaan. De logische verlenging tot in het dal is de natuurlijke trail The Rough One. Tussen het bergstation op de Pfriemesköpfl en de aftakking van de Götzner afdaling ter hoogte van het stuwmeer Muttereralm verloopt het parcours in het begin vooral aan de rand van de piste.
