Forecast

The dry, sunny weather will once again continue throughout the day. Morning temperatures will be cool yet normal for the season, but as soon as the sun appears it will shine from a blue sky and make temperatures rise to fairly high values.

Tendency

The best news of today’s weather forecasts is found in the trend: the area of high pressure over Central Europe will stay with us for several days.

Birkhof Chapel

Opening Hours

This chapel is located in the hamlet of Birkhof. The route to the chapel leads visitors along the road leading out of the village centre towards Oberperfuss Berg, past St Joseph’s Church and left into the Birkhof district. The chapel enjoys an idyllic location that can be seen from afar and has been standing since the 17th century. Before the construction of the church in Oberperfuss Berg, mass was celebrated at the chapel every Wednesday. A wooden extension was added to the chapel but it was torn down to make way for the widening of the road after St Joseph's Church was built in Oberperfuss Berg. The chapel's bell, which was cast during the Second World War, was replaced by a new bell in 1948. The current painting of the Virgin Mary is a copy of the former image painted by the religious sister Bernadette from Zams.
