Desde el aparcamiento en Praxmar tomar el sendero a mano derecha y subir dirección sur siguiendo las indicaciones hacia el refugio Westfalenhaus. Atravesar el bello valle Schöntal encima de Lüsens y seguir el sendero nº 141 que lleva al valle Längental y, después de unas tres horas, el refugio Westfalenhaus. Para regresar al punto de salida: por el camino de senderismo de invierno en el fondo del valle hasta Lüsens y luego por el camino forestal hasta Praxmar.
