A sólo 15 minutos a pie del casco antiguo de Innsbruck, el Heimgartl está situado directamente a orillas del río Inn. El teleférico Nordkettenbahn se encuentra a 5 minutos a pie. En el pequeño bar se sirven bebidas durante todo el día.
En las cercanías del hotel hay una parada de autobús con conexiones al centro. Un autobús de enlace con los Mundos de Cristal Swarovski para a 5 minutos a pie. En las inmediaciones del hotel hay muchas rutas de senderismo que permiten descubrir el fantástico mundo alpino de la región.
