Route naar het startpunt
Deze wandeling leidt naar de Rangger Köpfl. Uitgangspunt is de parkeerplaats van de kabelbanen Oberperfuss, bij gebruik van de gondelbaan gratis.
Aanbevelenswaardig met de achtpersoons gondel tot aan Stiglreith. Als alternatief lopend naar boven: op de Haggenweg echter oppassen voor de rodelbaan: 1,5 uur licht stijgend door het bos tot de parkeerplaats Stiglreith, voorzichtigheid is bij de tegemoetkomende rodelaars geboden. De parkeerplaats is gratis, hier is bovendien een rijverbod van kracht van 1 november tot en met 30 april.
Bij de parkeerplaats Stiglreith staat aan de linkerzijde de kapel Maria Onze Lieve Vrouwe Visitatie, deze is het werk van de familie Kofler, die daarmee een belofte inloste. De kapel werd in 1992 ingewijd. Elk jaar op zondag na Maria Visitatie (2 juli) vindt hier de almzegen met een klein feest plaats. Vroeger stond hier een weerkruis.
U volgt de bosweg licht stijgend tot de Sulzstich, bij de afslag links aanhouden richting Gfas. Gfas is de hoogstgelegen wijk van Oberperfuss en ligt op 1.517 meter boven zeeniveau. Daar bevinden zich twee boerderijen en een Mariakapel die oorspronkelijk van hout was. Franz Leitner verving deze in 1941 door een gemetseld gebouw, dat na renoveringswerken in 1987 werd ingewijd. Op de achtergrond verrijst de markante Roßkogel in de lucht.
Van de wijk Gfas op de rijweg richting Sulzstich naar het idyllische stuwmeer, daaronder nodigt het restaurant Sulzstich met zijn grote zonneterras uit om te pauzeren en te genieten.
Vanaf daar ofwel met de gondelbaan II. of via de rijweg weer terug naar Stiglreith en met de gondel I. terug naar het dal.
