Van de Neue Alplhütte voert een pad richting Wetterkreuz (1.920 m.). Achter het kruis op de top volgt u het gemarkeerde bergpad oostwaarts richting Karkopf. Het alpiene pad voert door rotsachtig terrein steil bergop naar het kruis op de top van de Karkopf. De laatste meters zijn met een stalen kabel gezekerd. Voor de beklimming naar de Karkopf is tredzekerheid noodzakelijk!
