The Flight
Once receiving a flight briefing from our pilot Herrmann we got “suited up” in the safety harnesses and secured into the helicopter. Even at this point with my feet planted firmly on the ground my heart started racing in anticipation of what was about to happen.
As we flew over the city my nerves actually settled as I was now in “photography mode” and happily hanging out the door as far as I could to get the best view/photograph.
After flying over downtown Innsbruck we started gaining altitude and heading towards Innsbruck’s famous Nordkette mountain. After spectacular views of the whole city and the Karwendel alpine park we pointed south for a flight above the Axamer Linzum ski resort before landing safely back at Innsbruck airport.
Would I do it again? In a heart beat!
