Forecast

We will experience typical foehn weather conditions on Friday. The sky will be bright with some mountain peaks being shrouded in “foehn fish clouds” (in technical jargon: “Altocumulus lenticularis”). The wind will be gusty at times and values will of course be mild.

Tendency

We are in autumn now and thus in the middle of the foehn season! This time of year is particularly known for its long-lasting foehn periods.

Before Thursday we will experience just such a foehn period: the wind will be strong at times allowing fair and very mild weather.

Sights and attractions in Innsbruck

Are you thinking about coming to Innsbruck? Or are you perhaps already here? If so, this is the perfect site for you. We'll show you everything you need to know for your holiday in Innsbruck and much more. Top sights and attractions, public transport, insider tips: we've got it all right here. The only thing you need to do is decide what takes your fancy.

Would you like to visit the Golden Roof, Innsbruck's landmark in the heart of the historic old town built by Emperor Maximilian? Or the Imperial Palace, Court Church and Imperial Gardens? Whatever you choose, you can enjoy the impressive backdrop of the Nordkette mountain range, the gateway to the Karwendel mountains. You're sure to love this amazing sight, just like we do. The mountains and the city are closer together here in Innsbruck than anywhere else and this means that the Alps are all around you wherever you go: whether on a walk through the historic old town, strolling under shady arcades or admiring the colourful rows of buildings.

Hop-on hop-off throughout the city

If you would rather be driven than walk, take the Sightseer. This hop-on hop-off bus will take you to all of the sights and attractions in Innsbruck. It's particularly great for places that are not so easy to get to on foot, for example Ambras Castle, the Bergisel Ski Jump and the neighbouring Tirol Panorama Museum or the Alpine Zoo
