The toboggan run from the Rumer Alm is one of my absolute favorite toboggan runs. At just under four kilometers, it is the perfect length, can also be reached by public transport, there are toboggans to borrow and there are safety devices at all critical points. However, it is (somewhat exaggerated) similar to the a-periodic Lottensee or ice skating at Lansersee a kind of natural phenomenon. In other words, it's only Frau Holle who decides when the action is.
So when it snows and the toboggan run is open, you better be quick! So the other day, when the first snowflakes fell, I immediately grabbed my toboggan and set off. Maybe still a little over-motivated, because for the continuous tobogganing fun it needs quite a bit of snow. But even without a toboggan, the winter hike to the Rumer Alm is a beautiful excursion!
