Bella Primavera: The New Bozner Platz

It is finally really spring in Innsbruck, the weather is warming up, it is time to get outside and enjoy the sunshine! Now there is even more to be happy about, given that the construction on the newly designed Bozner Platz is completed! The Bella Primavera festival from April 16 to 18, 2026 was the perfect introduction to the new area, giving it the celebration it deserves!

What was once a space people hurried through has evolved into somewhere you naturally want to stay. The transformation didn’t happen overnight, but the result speaks for itself: a square that feels open, welcoming, and made for everyday moments. Thoughtfully designed seating, newly planted trees, and flower beds bring softness and greenery into the city, while wide, functional areas create space for both movement and pause. It’s not just a thoroughfare anymore—it’s a place to meet, linger, and enjoy.

What makes Bozner Platz stand out now is its balance. You can come here without a plan—sit on a bench near the flower beds, meet friends, or simply pass through and end up staying longer than expected. As the trees grow and the seasons change, the square will continue to evolve, becoming greener, more shaded, and even more characterful over time.

The Bella Primavera[/notrans] festival itself captures this new spirit beautifully. Friday evening, after work, the square came alive in exactly the way it was intended. A live band played as lights flickered on, the space was filled with people dancing, laughing, and soaking up the atmosphere. Locals and visitors spun each other around to Austria-Italian favorites, the kind of music that invites you to stay just a little longer. The whole square pulsed with energy—it wasn’t just lively, it was magnetic. The band played all the classics, absolute bangers, and created such an electric atmosphere. 

Along the edges of [notrans]Bozner Platz, the experience continues. Spots like Paninotek and Pizzerei offer the perfect setting to sit back with a glass of wine and good food while watching the scene unfold. Around the square, you’ll find bakeries, takeaway options, and several shops that add to the neighborhood feel—making it easy to drift from one experience to another.

With its fresh design and amazing atmosphere, Bozner Platz has stepped confidently into a new chapter. This isn’t just a reopening—it’s a beginning.
