One of my favourite ways to while away a Sunday morning is to enjoy a delicious brunch with great food and fantastic views. There aren’t so many restaurants that offer brunch in Innsbruck, but the ones that do are pretty spectacular. Here are some of my top tips.

Alpenlounge Seegrube

The ultimate brunch experience in Innsbruck is the jazz brunch at the Seegrube. The wonderful food is accompanied by stunning views over Innsbruck and great background music – 1,905 metres above sea level. The brunch takes place every Sunday in July and August from 11 am until 1 pm and costs €42 per person, including a return lift ticket (€22 with Freizeitticket). Cammerlander

Would you rather enjoy brunch in town looking up at the mountains? Cammerlander is located right by the Inn River and has lots of indoor and outdoor seating (in the sun and the shade) with spectacular views of the Nordkette mountains. They do a great daily breakfast with everything from croissants with jam to smoked salmon or spanish tortillas – fantastic food in a relaxing atmosphere with stunning views. The Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club gets my vote for the best and most affordable brunch menu. The location on Maria Theresien Street is not as spectacular as some of the other places on this list, but in Innsbruck this is relative. You can still enjoy lovely mountain views and people watching. The menu ranges from sweet dishes, such as waffles and French toast, to omelettes, fry-ups and alpine meat and cheese breakfasts. Orangerie

The Orangerie is also located on Maria Theresien Street and offers a great all you can eat brunch every Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm. The brunch costs €13.90 per person, which is a very reasonable price for the comprehensive selection and location. And the comfortable indoor and outdoor seating make this a great brunch choice no matter what the weather. Read more about brunch at the Orangerie in Innsbruck here.

Enjoy brunch high above the rooftops of Innsbruck – from the 12th floor of the aDLERS Hotel. This brunch experience combines fabulous views over Innsbruck, live music, a delicious brunch buffet and a convenient central location. The brunch costs €34 per person on Sundays (11:30-14:30), and €27 Mon-Sat and on public holidays (7-11:30). Café – Bar Moustache

Café – Bar Moustache offers brunch every Sunday from 11 am to 1 pm for just €12 per person. The café is located right in the centre of town, on the square with the cathedral, and has more of a relaxed, student feel to it than the other places. Read more about brunch at Café – Bar Moustache here.

Whether you decide on brunch 1,905 metres above sea level at the Seegrube, a hearty breakfast at the Breakfast Club or a classy brunch with live music at the aDLERS hotel, I highly recommend making a reservation. All of the brunch options listed on this page are very popular and it can be difficult to get a table if you just show up.
