Avontuur in het verticale
Avontuurlijker dan wandelen, maar je nog steeds op toegankelijk gemaakte routes voortbewegen: dat zijn de klimtrajecten van de regio Innsbruck. Zij leiden over rotsachtig terrein, met hulpmiddelen om te klimmen zoals ijzeren ladders of stalen kabels om vast te houden. Zij ontsluiten vaak ontoegankelijk terrein en bieden een prachtig uitzicht op de bergwereld. Vele via ferrata-routes wachten in de regio Innsbruck. De detailinvoeren geven informatie over moeilijkheidsgraad en andere belangrijke gegevens.
Kaiser Max Klettersteig
Der Kaiser-Max-Klettersteig war einer der ersten reinen "Sport"Klettersteige Österreichs. Im zweiten Teil warten 100m fast senkrechtes und trittarmes Plattengelände auf kräftige Begeher - sollte einem nach dem ersten Teil der Mut oder die Kraft verlassen, kann man problemlos zur Maximillians-Grotte ausqueren und unschwierig absteigen. Die Verwendung von Kletterschuhen ist ratsam, genauso wie die Beherrschung einer sauberen Steigtechnik. Für Profis ein absolut ratsamer Klettersteig, der noch dazu durch seine südseitige Lage fast ganzjährig begehbar ist.

Zugang:
Vom Parkplatz zwischen Martinswand und Martinsbichl (Hinweisschilder!) in wenigen Minuten über markierten Steig zum Einstieg.
Abstieg:
Nach dem ersten Teil Abstiegsmöglichkeit bei der Kaiser-Max-Grotte.Von dort unschwierig über einen bezeichneten Weg nach Zirl und dann entlang der Bundesstrasse zurück zum Parkplatz.
Nach dem zweiten Teil über den Abstiegsklettersteig (teilweise Stellen C!) und etwas unangenehmes Gelände in den Wald (blaues Seil an den schwierigen Passagen). Über diesen Steig hinab bis zur Kaiser-Max-Grotte, dann dem Weg wie oben folgen.
