Green Meetings & Green Events in accordance with the Austrian Ecolabel
CERTIFY YOUR EVENT
Conferences, meetings, and events are an important economic driver in the Innsbruck region. Many national and international participants travel to our region for these events. However, this consumes large amounts of resources, generates emissions, and thus impacts our environment. For this reason, many organizers choose to host their conferences and events according to established criteria that take into account aspects such as regional economic impact, mobility, and social responsibility. For Green Meetings and Green Events certified under the Austrian Ecolabel, factors such as mobility, resource consumption, procurement, and waste management are considered. Regional economic impact and social responsibility are also key aspects. The certification makes the implementation of these criteria transparent for participants and partners.
Would you like to have your event certified as a Green Meeting or Green Event under the Austrian Ecolabel? The Innsbruck Convention Bureau has been a licensee of the Austrian Ecolabel for Green Meetings & Green Events since May 2023 and supports organizers with the certification process.
