Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik - Playgrounds
A carousel of chords resounds in the 1st Ambras Castle Concert: "Grounds" are based on a harmonic pattern that is constantly repeated and played around in variations by different instruments. Provided that certain rules are adhered to, the musicians can improvise freely on the basis of these "Grounds". The harmonies are their toys. How they make them sound is entirely up to their creativity: in an ensemble or alone, slow or fast, intimate or highly virtuosic. With recorder, psaltery, harp, lute, viola da gamba, cello, bassoon and harpsichord - there are no limits to the sound colours in this large ensemble.
