Imagine if there was a card that would make your vacation even more enjoyable - a kind of "Magic Card" that allows you to use all means of transport at your vacation destination free of charge and to take part in guided hikes, which gives you discounts on numerous indoor and outdoor activities as well as theater tickets and other cultural highlights. And how cool would it be if you could also combine your city trip with a little fun on the slopes - free of charge, of course. That sounds pretty cool, doesn't it? And now imagine, here in Innsbruck there is something like that: the Welcome Card or rather the Welcome Card plus! What exactly it's all about, how it works, where and how you can get it, I'll tell you in this blog post.

Already from two nights in Innsbruck or one of the places in the region you get the Welcome Card. From three nights you get the Welcome Card plus. You will receive your card directly - and completely free of charge - at your accommodation. In principle, the Welcome Card/Welcome Card plus is available to every landlord (whether hotel, guesthouse, apartment, etc.). It's best to check right here whether your accommodation is a partner business. As soon as you have Welcome Card, the fun can begin. As mentioned at the beginning, public transport including ski buses can be used free of charge at any time. So you can make trips around Innsbruck comfortably, without additional costs and absolutely environmentally friendly! Believe me - it's worth it!

For those who don't want to go off on their own, the Welcome Card/Welcome Card plus is also the perfect choice. You can expect a varied, guided activity program according to the motto: "Hiking is not only a pleasure in summer, but also a pleasure in winter!" There are probably few cities where urban city life and nature are as close together as here. If you're vacationing in Innsbruck, be sure to take advantage of it. My tip for this is the "City-Country Winter Hike in Innsbruck". It is especially suitable for families or people who like to take it a little easier. Meeting point is Tourismus Information at Burggraben, right at the entrance to the old town. From there you walk about three hours through the woods at the foot of the Nordkette. Enjoy the wonderful landscape, no matter if it is snowing, sunny or cloudy! It is always wonderful.

If you saw me on the ice today, you would hardly believe it. I clearly have no talent. But that is not the point. Now that my boys are a bit older and into more "action", the heated outdoor area with torrent is their favorite. The beautiful lounging and resting area around the pools invites them to relax.
