The hike starts at the edge of the forest, right by the Sistranser Alm car park. From here, the trail winds steadily uphill through the forest.

Once you reach the top, the Sistranser Alm awaits you, an authentic mountain hut known for its cosy atmosphere and magnificent views. Here you can fortify yourself with regional specialities and enjoy a well-earned break.

Tip: From the Sistranser Alm, a gently sloping Almenweg 1600 leads to the Aldranser Alm - a worthwhile detour if you haven't had enough of the surrounding mountains. For hikers who want to ascend further, the path leads moderately steeply through the high forest to the Isshütte. This hut is not staffed, but offers a great view of the Inn Valley and the mountains.

You can either return via the same route or choose one of the alternative routes, depending on what the signposting indicates. If you want to enjoy nature to the full, you can also opt for a quieter return through the forest.
