This hike starts from the Juifenalm car park and leads up to the Juifenalm mountain hut, either along a wide forest road or a somewhat steeper summer trail. Once you come to the so-called "Jagdhütte" (hunting lodge), the forest opens up and the route continues along the path to the Juifenalm mountain hut, which is located at an altitude of 2,020 metres above sea level. From the hut, the route heads north-east, following a trail uphill past lush alpine roses, mountain flowers and beautiful alpine pastures to the Windegg summit cross (2,577 m). The views from the summit cross are truly magnificent, overlooking the Inn Valley far below and the Stubai Alps off in the distance. The hike back follows the same route.
